After 10 years of looking at this place, i finally was able to visit River Spruce in Aug-2012 with my daughters. And let me tell you, what a little peace of heaven on earth it was. Thank you Shelly so much for such a wonderful stay at River Spruce.. I loved my morning coffee along the river. The sounds of running water, and chirping birds and wildlife all around, it was so peacful and serene. I couldn't have asked for anything more. It was everything i had hoped for. Shelly, you are so lucky to wake up to your surroundings everyday. A little peace on earth, thank you so much. Hope to be back soon.

My husband Keith, son Connor, and I had a wonderful vacation last week (7/1-7/6/2012) in Estes Park. River Spruce is amazing!!! The homemade muffins, the hummingbirds, the sound of the river....just wonderful! We stayed at the Tom Tom cabin and boy was it perfect! RMNP is a beauty..the elk and moose and big horn sheep!!! I highly recommend River Spruce and I'm sure we will be back again!

Wendye and Shelley, I am finally getting around to thanking you for a wonderful visit (June 19-25) to River Spruce. When the world looks a little bleak or life become a bit too much, I close my eyes and think of my reading "spot" on the river. Thank you for making our visit to RMNP such a wonderful experience. We just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time we had at River Spruce recently. The setting was beautiful and relaxing. We loved being so close to the river. The cabin was spacious, clean and comfortable and perfect for our family (We staying in The Pueblo.) We appreciated your hospitality. You were gracious and made us feel at home. And the muffins....absolutely wonderful! We will be back as soon as possible. Thanks for a great stay!

Wendye & Shelley, Thank you again for a wonderful stay in the Pueblo. The weather you ordered for us was spectacular and, as nice as the cabins are, we didn´t spend nearly enough time there!! I trust we left everything in good order and didn´t make too much noise packing and leaving before 6am (it was tricky to get the bear-bar off the dumpster in the dark and keep things silent). While we are there, we always look around at lodging options (we like to try new places). But the full kitchens you offer are a real standout, and allow us to bring food with us. Many cabins don´t offer that, or they do at substantial premiums. Some hotels are cheaper, but when one then adds in restaurant costs in Estes Park, well... I guess what I´m saying is that your hospitality, your beautiful location on the Big Thompson, the quality of the cabins, and your pricing all combine to make River Spruce a value that´s impossible for us to beat anywhere else. Thank you again for everything.

John and I loved River Spruce so much we are gonna come back every other year and stay longer.We enjoyed our cozy little Cottage and Hot Tub by the River and the Humming Birds are VERY entertaining. On the morning we left was a wonderful River Spruce treat when we saw the bear across the River after eating the delicious Muffins you brought us. I went fishing for the first time at River Spruce and caught a Rainbow Trout on my first try. Your beautiful dogs were very sweet and loving Ill always remember the Border Collies sweet little love cuddle she gave me lol. I miss River Spruce already and its been 3 days. I cant wait to come back.
