You sure can! Just step out your cabin door, walk a few steps to the River and you will see some of our trout looking for food and others will need to be coaxed out of their hiding places. We love to watch our anglers step into or stand along side the rivers edge and cast for hours.
It is all catch and release. That way other guests that stay with us can have the same thrill of the catch. We supply the river with additional assortment of trout six times throughout the summer. You will find Rainbow Trout, Spotted Brown Trout, Cutthroat Trout to mention a few.
If you are looking for a guide to explore places other than at River Spruce we can help you. When you need supplies there are several popular fishing stores in town that not only have everything you need but can also answer your questions regarding what bait to use, which flies work best, etc. We do ask that while fishing on River Spruce property that no live bait be used.
As the ice melts our fish eagerly await for you anglers. The other fun part of fishing at River Spruce is the sharing of fishing stories with other guests at night while sitting by your fire pit.
So tie those flies and come out and join us. The fish are waiting!
